bowie in tights

This is the last night for these films at the Academy Theater. Part of the Beer and Movie Fest.

Alien is one of my all time favorite movies. I was able to trick my mom into taking me to see that one. Of course, the alien paid me a visit that night in my dreams...scary! That movie was so bad ass in every way. From Jerry Goldsmith's soundtrack to Ron Cobb & Giger's designs--not to mention the acting and the directing--this movie bursted with talent.

Big Trouble in Little China...only a matter of time until some genius decides to remake it. Probably if Escape from New York remake does moderately well. Hope they give Carpenter a big fat check for it. Kurt Russell is always fun to watch when he is in one of John Carpenter's movies.

They are also showing Labyrinth...yawn. Not to mention the awesome Raging Bull. Scorsese, what have you done for me lately? Remember that very unawesome movie about the paramedic?

These movies will be shown in glorious 35mm. Don't miss 'em if you get the chance.
